so I am finally back from L.A. and once again in germany... I mis L.A. and the sun and the people (even the suoperficial ones...)
Trip was such a crazy thing... I was supposed to make a presentation in siggraph (nerd convention 2008) about real time rendering... once i got to the Us i was not able to left the airport cause i look totally different as in my passport... after 2 hours and some calls i finally got there... i get to the marriott where i was suppossed to stay 8 days and well.. there was too many poepl so they asked me politely if i can be moved.. i though uhmmmm why no? i got in the most terriblw hotel ever not even in L.A. downtown but COMMERCE...it was a big casino downstairs just men... weird weird weird next day finally siggraph and then marriot ...got changed to the wilshire grand hotel.. not that bad... i got an upgrade so i could actually play american football there he he he...
second day of siggraph: my presentation i got soo nervous but it was ok... i got my pixar tea pot(i gave it to my boss so if some one has an spare one i would looooove to have it or buy it) drove some F1 cars and walked around...
later that night eating peruvian with my software guys... is amazing the small amount of girls that do this for living.. i guess mabye just 8% are girls.. and from them at least 98% dont look so nice... on the third day i understood that a blong girl with jeans hot pants scare nerd... common!! i am a nerd too but i hate looking like one... i ws scaring all nerds around... i was making some move capture: [link] emabrrasing pic but funny i had so much fun...
6.30pm THE PARTY!!! it was so cool amazig lounge just car people.. i had a blast dancing... 4th day of sigraph was the last day of expositions... last look at everything.. tired... i need coffee...
later going out with a CEO of a car company (i wont name) eating lobster sushi in venice beach and later dancing in the standard in hollywood... friday pool party at the W hotels in westwood.. later st monica and venice again getting some sun... evening SUSHI again and later at night party in marina del rey marriot ending up in the bday party´s flat drinking beer...
saturdayhollywood making some turism and venice taking some sun... night, the best sushi i ever had in the elevate lounge in downtown L.A. AMAZING... some party after that and then back in my hotel... next morning venice chinese food and back to the airport.... CRAZY L.A.!!! and i LOOOOVE it i want to move there... now i am back in germany working here is raining but well everything is doing ok... next year siggraph is in new orleans.... i hope i get to go to that one...
